2024 | 30′ Live soundtrack for interdisciplinary performance
In October 2024 I started collaborating with Silvia De Teresa, pianist and NAIP (New Audiences and Innovative Practices) Master student at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. We worked on 3 performances focused on the theme of Choreomania — the historical phenomenon of uncontrollable, communal dancing ‘plagues’ dating back to the Middle Ages in Europe. The final performances emerge from a dynamic fusion of classical piano, electronic sounds, improvisation, movement, voice, collaboration between artists, and the unpredictable elements of Choreomania.
For this project I have been using live electronics to interact with the piano through Max MSP and low-fi gear such as Korg Volcas and Bastle MicroGranny to create immersive soundscapes.
Four performances took place at the Haagse Piano Huis (Nov 2024, Jan and June 2025) and at the Royal Conservatorire (Nov 2024).
